VCDS is software which allows a PC to perform the same functions as the very expensive dedicated tools used by VW, Audi, SEAT and Skoda dealerships. 

In order to use VCDS, you will definitely need:

• A PC which meets the minimum requirements for VCDS.   

• The VCDS software (you can download it from our website)

• An Interface Adapter - see our  Interfaces Page for for detailed information about the interface and compatibility to your PC and also see our Vehicle Applications Charts for interface compatibility for your car(s).

You may also need:

• A copy of the VCDS manual (you can download it from our website)

• For use with a desktop PC, a Serial Extension Cable - see Accessories

• For some older Cars, a 2x2 adapter cable - see Accessories

• A Repair Manual which has a list of the Diagnostic, Troubleshooting Codes and the recommended repair procedure - See our Bentley CDs
