Y = Control Module is capable of Rapid Data
Transfer (i.e. it "talks" to VAG-COM)
N = Control Module (if it exists) is not capable of Rapid Data
Transfer
KWP-2000 = Control Module communicates using the new
KWP-2000 Protocol (Otherwise,
KWP-1281)
2nd K-wire = Control Module may exist on the 2nd K-wire (needs a
Dual-K compatible interface)
CAN = Uses Controller Area Network diagnostics, requires a
CAN Interface
Note:
Some 1990-1992 Mk2 platform cars (A2/1G) have Engines that can
"talk" and require a 2x2 adapter (all 2.0 16V, some late Digifant California 8V only).
No other modules in these cars can "talk".
